His style, defined by sharp edges, a limited color palette and symmetry, is constantly evolving. In his illustrations with Ljubljana motifs, a dragon often appears, which he says is his totem. Dejan Kralj believes that every human creation or invention is a picture of the author’s soul. The actions, materials, lines, colors and shapes reflect the thoughts, intentions, wishes, fears and dreams of the one who ventures into the inner world of ideas and creates order out of the infinite potential of chaos.
